Everton faced off against Liverpool at Anfield earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a result in the Premier League. The Toffees made a decent start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 36th minute when Mohamed Salah found the back of the net. Everton went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Cody Gakpo made it 2-0 to Liverpool in the 49th minute with an easy finish. Sean Dyche’s men failed to mount a comeback and crashed to a lackluster 2-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Everton player fared during the match against the Reds.

GK: Jordan Pickford – 6/10

Pickford made a few crucial saves at the back but was caught out of position in the lead-up to Salah’s opening goal.

RB: Seamus Coleman – 6.5/10

He gave a good account of himself at the back and made one decent run with the ball.

CB: Conor Coady – 5/10

Coady made some crucial defensive contributions but struggled to cope with the pace of the Liverpool counter-attacks.

CB: James Tarkowski – 7/10

He made a lot of crucial clearances on the defensive end of the field and was unfortunate to hit the post just moments before Salah’s opening goal.
