Leeds United clashed heads with Nottingham Forest at the City Ground earlier today as they focused on securing a win on their travels in the Premier League. The Whites made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 14th minute when Brennan Johnson found the back of the net for the home team. The Yorkshire club failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Jesse Marsch’s men pushed on in search of the equaliser but were toothless in front of the opponent’s goal as the contest finished with Leeds suffering a narrow 1-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Leeds United player performed during the match against Nottingham Forest.

GK: Illan Meslier – 6/10

Meslier made one solid save during the game but won’t be happy after conceding an early goal.

RB: Luke Ayling – 6.5/10

He was a strong presence in the air and had a few lively moments in the final third.

CB: Liam Cooper – 7/10

Cooper was solid at the back for most of the game and made one good run with the ball.

CB: Maximilian Wöber – 6.5/10

He made a few important defensive contributions but won’t be pleased about allowing a goal early in the game.

LB: Pascal Struijk – 7/10

Struijk got stuck in with plenty of crunching tackles and was a dominant presence in the air. However, he could last only 66 minutes.

CM: Tyler Adams – 6.5/10

He was not shy of making a tackle and made one key chance going forward.

CM: Marc Roca – 6/10

The Spaniard showed a few flashes of what he is capable of but got replaced in the 56th minute.

RW: Luis Sinisterra – 6.5/10

He was a bit wasteful in the final third and was substituted early in the second half.

CAM: Jack Harrison – 6/10

Harrison struggled to get into the rhythm of the game and put in a disjointed display in the opponent’s half.

LW: Wilfried Gnonto – 7/10

Gnonto engineered a lot of decent openings for his teammates in the final third and made two dangerous runs with the ball on the left flank.

ST: Patrick Bamford – 6/10

He had a quiet game on the attacking end of the field and did well to last 66 minutes.

CM: Weston McKennie – 6/10

McKennie made one crucial clearance at the back.

LW: Crysencio Summerville – 6.5/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the game after coming off the bench.

Firpo was solid at the back and made one good run with the ball.

ST: Georginio Rutter – 6/10

He failed to score the equaliser.
