Chelsea clashed heads with Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park earlier tonight as they focused on earning a win on the road in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League last 16 tie. The Blues made a solid start to the game and managed to get to the half-time interval with a goalless scoreline.

Karim Adeyemi finally managed to score the opener in the 63rd minute when he finished off a wonderful breakaway goal. Graham Potter’s men failed to come up with a response and crashed to a narrow 1-0 defeat away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Chelsea player performed during the match against Borussia Dortmund.

GK: Kepa Arrizabalaga – 6/10

The Spanish keeper made just one save in the game but will be disappointed after conceding a goal just after the hour mark.

RB: Reece James – 6.5/10

The English sensation came back to defend when required and was a threat going forward.

CB: Thiago Silva – 6.5/10

Silva gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and was accurate with his passing.

CB: Kalidou Koulibaly – 7/10

The Senegalese talent cleared the danger when the Dortmund attackers were on the front foot and was a threat at the other end of the field.

CM: Enzo Fernandez – 7/10

RW: Hakim Ziyech – 6.5/10

Ziyech caused a few headaches for the opposition defenders but didn’t do enough to register a goal.

CAM: Joao Felix – 7/10

He made a few decent runs with the ball and was unfortunate to hit the crossbar.

LW: Mykhailo Mudryk – 6.5/10
