Barcelona faced off against Almeria at the Power Horse Stadium earlier this evening as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in La Liga. The Catalan giants made a slow start to the contest and conceded the opening goal in the 24th minute when El Bilal Toure scored for the home side. Barcelona struggled to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Xavi’s men failed to mount a comeback and crashed to a narrow 1-0 loss away from home.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player performed during the clash against Almeria.

GK: Marc-André ter Stegen – 6.5/10

The German keeper made a few decent saves at the back but won’t be pleased after conceding a goal midway through the first half.

RB: Sergi Roberto – 6/10

He cleared the danger when required and had a couple of strikes at goal.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 7/10

Christensen did his fair share of defending and engineered two decent chances going forward.

CB: Eric Garcia – 6.5/10

The Spaniard looked shaky at the back and produced an uninspiring performance on the defensive end of the pitch.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 6.5/10

He was a positive influence in the middle of the park but there was no goal for him.

RW: Ferran Torres – 7.5/10

He engineered a handful of meaningful chances for his teammates but never got a sniff at goal himself.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 6/10

The Polish striker threatened the opposition goal at times but struggled to take any of his chances.
