Barcelona faced off against Real Betis at the Estadio Benito Villamarín earlier tonight as they looked to earn a good result in La Liga. Xavi’s men made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Raphinha finally broke the deadlock for Barca in the 65th minute before Robert Lewandowski doubled his team’s advantage in the 80th minute. Real Betis scored a late consolation goal when Jules Kounde, unfortunately, scored an own goal. However, Barcelona ended up grinding out a 2-1 victory on the road.

Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the match against Real Betis.

GK: Marc Andre ter Stegen – 6.5/10

The German keeper hardly had anything to do in the game but won’t be pleased after conceding a late goal.

RB: Jules Kounde – 6/10

He kept things solid at the back for most of the contest but scored an unfortunate own goal late in the game.

CB: Ronald Araujo – 6.5/10

Araujo did what was required of him inside his half and was a good presence on the ball. He ended the game with an assist to his name.

CB: Andreas Christensen – 6.5/10

Christensen kept the opposition attackers frustrated for most of the game and was accurate with his passing.

CM: Sergio Busquets – 8/10

CM: Pedri – 7.5/10

He came back to defend when required and was a constant menace in the opponent’s half.

RW: Raphinha – 8/10

Raphinha did his fair share of defending and caused a lot of headaches for the Real Betis defenders.

ST: Robert Lewandowski – 7/10

The Polish striker was a real threat in the final third and scored a deserved goal in the 80th minute.

LW: Gavi – 7/10

He didn’t hesitate to make a tackle when needed and was a threat on the left flank.

He added some pace to Xavi’s attack.

Torres didn’t get enough time to influence the game.
