Casemiro Gets 9, Fernandes With 7.5 | Manchester United Players Rated In Comfortable Win Vs Reading

Manchester United entertained Reading at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to earn a victory at home in the FA Cup. The Red Devils made a decent start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Casemiro finally broke the deadlock in the 54th minute with an excellent finish before going on to score again just four minutes later. Fred killed the game off in the 66th minute when he got his name on the scoresheet. Reading scored a consolation goal in the 72nd minute when Amadou Salif Mbengue found the back of the net. The contest finished with Man United securing a comfortable 3-1 win at the Theatre of Dreams.

Let’s take a look at how each Manchester United player performed during the contest against Reading.

GK: David de Gea – 6.5/10

The Spanish keeper made one good save in the game but won’t be happy after conceding a late goal.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – 7/10

He didn’t do much wrong at the back and had a few bright moments in the final third.

CB: Harry Maguire – 7/10

The English talent gave a good account of himself on the defensive third of the pitch and was strong in the air as well.

CB: Victor Lindelof – 6.5/10

He cleared the danger when required and was accurate with his passing.

Malacia made plenty of solid tackles and orchestrated one key chance in the final third.

CM: Casemiro – 9/10

The Brazilian sensation scored two quick-fire goals early in the second half which made the difference tonight. He also offered decent protection for his teammates at the back.

CM: Christian Eriksen – 6.5/10

Eriksen was good on the ball but failed to take any of his chances.

RW: Antony – 7/10

He had plenty of strikes at goal and ended the game with an assist to his name.

CAM: Bruno Fernandes – 7.5/10

The Portugal international made a few decent chances in the final third and has got an assist to show for his efforts.

LW: Marcus Rashford – 7/10

The English talent made a couple of decent runs with the ball but failed to get his name on the scoresheet tonight.

ST: Wout Weghorst – 7/10

He was a constant menace in the final third but didn’t manage to find the back of the net.


CM: Fred – 7.5/10

He has a goal and an assist to his name.

CAM: Facundo Pellistri – 6/10

Pellistri made one key chance in the final third.

LW: Alejandro Garnancho – 6/10

He made one decent chance up top.

RW: Anthony Elanga – 6/10

Elanga made one good chance in the opponent’s half.

CM: Kobbie Mainoo – 6/10

He added some energy to Erik ten Hag’s midfield.
