Leeds United clashed heads with Accrington Stanley at the Wham Stadium earlier today as they hoped to grab a good result on the road in the FA Cup. The Whites made a decent start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 23rd minute when Jack Harrison found the back of the net. Jesse Marsch’s side controlled the game well and went into the half-time break 1-0 up on the scoreline.
Junior Firpo doubled Leeds’ advantage in the 66th minute before Luis Sinisterra killed the game off just two minutes later. Accrington got a late consolation goal courtesy of Leslie Adekoya’s effort in the 81st minute. The contest ended with the West Yorkshire club earning a 3-1 win away from home in the FA Cup.
