Everton will clash heads with Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday night as they look to secure a good result in this home encounter. The Toffees held Manchester City to a 1-1 draw in their last fixture which will keep them in high spirits. On the other hand, the Seagulls suffered a disappointing 4-2 defeat at the hands of Arsenal.
Frank Lampard will set his side up in a 5-4-1 formation and is expected to keep the changes to a minimum for this encounter. Both Conor Coady and James Tarkowski will continue alongside Ben Godfrey to keep a solid defensive shape at the back during the game and secure a good result on the road in this Premier League clash.
5-4-1 Everton Predicted Lineup Vs Brighton
Defence
Jordan Pickford will continue in between the sticks for the Toffees hoping to pick up a clean sheet. As mentioned earlier, Conor Coady, Ben Godfrey and James Tarkowski will feature at the heart of Everton’s backline. They will need to be at the top of their game if they want to keep the opposition attackers at bay during the game.
Nathan Patterson will fill in at right-back while Vitaliy Mykolenko hopes to catch the eye on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would be eager to make a difference and create some decent chances from the wide areas.
Midfield
Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye will take up the holding midfield positions trying to dominate the central areas.
Demarai Gray and Alex Iwobi will be given the responsibility to stretch the field out on the flanks and cause a few problems for the Brighton defenders as they continue to feature in the left and right wing respectively.
Abdoulaye Doucoure and Tom Davies will drop to the bench as they wait for their chance to shine in the second half if Lampard calls upon their services.
Attack
Dominic Calvert-Lewin will lead the charge for the Merseyside club on the attacking end of the field. He has to find a way to threaten the Seagulls goal in this midweek encounter.
Neal Maupay will take his place on the bench as an impact substitute to make his appearance in the second half if needed.
