Kane, Saka And Henderson Get 8 | England Players Rated In Impressive Win Vs Senegal

England faced off against Senegal at the Al Bayt Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure another good result in the knockout stages of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. The Three Lions made a dominant start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 38th minute courtesy of Jordan Henderson’s tidy finish. Harry Kane doubled England’s advantage in the first half injury-time with a clinical strike as Gareth Southgate’s men went into the half-time break with a 2-0 lead.

Bukayo Saka added another goal in the 57th minute as England cruised to an impressive 3-0 victory in Qatar.

Let’s take a look at how each England player fared during the match against Senegal.

GK: Jordan Pickford – 7/10

The English keeper made one good save in the game and earned an easy clean sheet today.

RB: Kyle Walker – 7/10

He performed his defensive duties well and made one good run with the ball.

CB: John Stones – 7/10

Stones made two important defensive contributions and was accurate with his passing.

He did his fair share of defending and played some decent passes from the back.

Shaw didn’t do much wrong at the back and made two good chances in the final third.

CM: Jordan Henderson – 7.5/10

The Liverpool midfielder worked hard at both ends of the field and scored the opener with a decent finish.

CM: Declan Rice – 7/10

He offered decent protection for his teammates at the back but didn’t do much in the opponent’s half.

CM: Jude Bellingham – 8/10

Bellingham performed his defensive duties well and had some lively moments in the final third. He ended the game with an assist to his name.

RW: Bukayo Saka – 8/10

Saka had some bright moments during the contest and got his name on the scoresheet with a neat finish from close range in the 57th minute.

ST: Harry Kane – 8/10

The English striker caused a lot of headaches for the opposition and scored his team’s second goal with a powerful strike.

LW: Phil Foden – 8/10

He was always looking to create chances for others around him and has got two assists to show for his efforts.


LW: Jack Grealish – 6.5/10

He was good on the ball.

RW: Marcus Rashford – 6/10

Rashford offered very little after coming off the bench.

CM: Mason Mount – 6/10

He added some energy to Southgate’s midfield.

CB: Eric Dier – 6/10

Dier kept things solid at the back.

CM: Kalvin Phillips – N/A

He hardly had any time to influence the game.
