Arsenal will look to continue their dominant run for the title as they face West Ham United upon returning to Premier League action at the Emirates Stadium on Monday night. The Gunners are leading the league table with twelve victories out of their fourteen league matches. On the other hand, the Hammers have barely managed to remain above relegation places sitting at the sixteenth position, so they will have to get back in form in the second half of this season in order to survive.

Arsenal Vs West Ham United: Talking Tactics

Mikel Arteta should set his team up in a 4-3-3 formation allowing Eddie Nketiah to lead the charge up top while Bukoya Saka and Gabriel Martinelli provide support from the wide areas. Meanwhile, Martin Odegaard will continue in the central areas hoping to create enough chances for the front three.

David Moyes will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation allowing Declan Rice and Thomas Soucek to dominate the holding positions in the central areas while Jarrod Bowen leads the line up top.

Team News

Arsenal

The Gunners will remain without the services of Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson as both are sidelined, while Oleksandr Zinchenko is doubtful. Moreover, Arteta has been handed another injury concern with Gabriel Jesus going to the treatment room for the long term. William Saliba was the last of the Gunners’ World Cup stars to return to north London and remains unlikely to start against the Hammers while Takehiro Tomiyasu also remains absent due to an injury.

Arsenal Predicted XI

Ramsdale; White, Holding, Gabriel, Tierney; Xhaka, Partey, Odegaard; Saka, Nketiah, Martinelli

West Ham United

The visitors could be without strikers Gianluca Scamacca (ankle) and Michail Antonio (calf) for the trip to the Emirates. West Ham’s World Cup stars have all returned to London Stadium but Nayef Aguerd has been struggling with a virus and an injury, so he will remain sidelined for this away encounter.

West Ham United Predicted XI

Fabianski; Kehrer, Dawson, Zouma, Cresswell; Soucek, Rice; Fornals, Paqueta, Benrahma; Bowen
