Arsenal will lock horns with West Ham United at the Emirates on Monday night, hoping to pick up a positive result and maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table. The visitors will be coming into the match on the back of a 1-1 draw with Fulham in a club friendly, whereas the Gunners recorded a disappointing 2-0 loss to Juventus.
Mikel Arteta will probably opt for the 4-2-3-1 formation with several changes from the last game as Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli look likely to make their way back into the starting eleven.
4-2-3-1 Arsenal Predicted Lineup Vs West Ham United
Aaron Ramsdale will operate in between the sticks for the upcoming away encounter. The English shot-stopper would hope to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Monday.
Gabriel Magalhaes will form the centre-half partnership with Rob Holding at the heart of Arsenal’s backline.
Kieran Tierney should start at the left-back position, whereas Ben White might fill in on the other flank as the right-back. The duo would be looking to stretch the opposition’s backline and create meaningful chances for the frontmen.
Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey will fulfil the holding midfield positions, with the former occupying a more defensive role. Martin Odegaard will slot into the attacking midfield role.
Odegaard will be accompanied by Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka on either side, playing on the left and right-wing, respectively.
Eddie Nketiah will lead the line for the hosts against West Ham United. The 23-year-old striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net when he faces off against the West Ham defence that has conceded eight goals in their last five matches across all competitions.
Fabio Vieira will have to settle for a place on the bench, but he might be called upon in the latter stages of the game if needed.
