Real Madrid will take on Rayo Vallecano on Monday when they make the trip to Estadio de Vallecas looking to return to winning ways in the Spanish top flight. The La Liga leaders were held to a 1-1 draw by Girona in the league last weekend. However, they recorded a comfortable 5-1 win against Celtic in the UEFA Champions League, so they will be looking to produce a similar result.
Carlo Ancelotti will probably opt for a 4-3-3 formation once again and is expected to make a few changes to the starting XI. He could name the front three, involving Vinicius Junior, Karim Benzema and Valverde, while Rodrygo drops to the bench. The Italian tactician will allow Aurelien Tchouameni to start as he looks to dominate in the centre of the park.
4-3-3 Real Madrid Predicted XI Vs Rayo Vallecano
Defence
Thibaut Courtois will once again start in goal for Los Blancos after conceding a goal in his last appearance. Antonio Rudiger will keep his place and play alongside Eder Militao at the centre of Real Madrid’s defence as they try to keep the opposition attackers at bay throughout the game.
Dani Carvajal will operate as the right-back while David Alaba hopes to catch the eye as the left-back. Both will get the license to go forward and join in on the attack whenever possible.
Ferland Mendy and Nacho Fernandes will be available for selection on the bench as they provide cover for the defensive positions.
Midfield
Luka Modric, Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduoard Camavinga will make up Real Madrid’s midfield as their main focus would be to dominate the battle at the centre of the park and engineer some clear-cut chances in the final third.
Dani Ceballos will be named on the bench as he waits for a chance to shine in the second half if needed.
Attack
Vinicius Junior will function as the left-sided wide player while Valverde hopes to catch the eye from the right flank. Ancelotti will instruct both of them to stretch the field in the opponent’s half.
As mentioned above, Karim Benzema will lead the charge for the Spanish side down the middle. The French forward will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net and getting his name on the scoresheet.
Eden Hazard and Marco Asensio will be available on Real Madrid’s bench and might get a chance to impress as the impact substitutes if Ancelotti decides to call upon their services.
