Real Madrid welcomed Shakhtar Donetsk at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to earn a positive result at home in the UEFA Champions League. Los Blancos made a quick start to the game and opened the goal-scoring in the 13th minute when Rodrygo scored with a tidy finish. Vinicius Junior doubled his side’s lead just 15 minutes later with a calm finish. Oleksandr Zubkov got a goal back for Shakhtar in the 39th minute as Real Madrid went into the half-time interval 2-1 up on the scoreline.
