Barcelona and Bayern Munich will meet again on Wednesday Evening in their next UEFA Champions League match-up for the group stages at Camp Nou. The Catalan club come into the match on the back of a dominant 4-0 victory over Athletic Bilbao in La Liga. Similarly, the German giants have recorded a 2-0 win over Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga.

Both of them will be eager to dominate the other but the Spanish giants will be more on the edge to get their revenge as they were defeated by the visitors in their last clash of the UCL group stages.

Barcelona Vs Bayern Munich: Talking Tactics

Xavi will opt for the 4-3-3 formation allowing Robert Lewandowski, who’s in great form, to continue up top. Frenkie De Jong and Pedri will retain their places in the midfield while Gavi drops to the bench.

Julian Nagelsmann will probably set his players up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and could make a couple of tweaks to his starting XI for this game. Sadio Mane could lead the charge against the opposition while Dayot Upamecano and Matthijs De Ligt form the centre-half partnership.

Team News

Xavi has been handed with fresh injury concerns as Sergi Roberto picked up a shoulder injury in his last outing. He will be accompanying Ronald Araujo in the treatment room, both being ruled out for the long term. Meanwhile, Memphis Depay (thigh) and Andreas Christensen (ankle) remain doubtful to start as they recover from their injuries.

Bayern Munich

Nagelsmann’s side will again remain without Leroy Sane and Bouna Sarr due to injury setbacks. Furthermore, Manuel Neuer and Lucas Hernandez also remain sidelined as they occupy the treatment room for their respective injuries.
