Chelsea entertained Leicester City at Stamford Bridge earlier today as they hoped to pick up maximum points at home. The Blues made a good start to the game but found themselves at a numerical disadvantage as Conor Gallagher was sent off in the 28th minute. However, they managed to get to the half-time break with a goalless scoreline.
Raheem Sterling opened the goal-scoring in the 47th minute before going on to score again just 16 minutes later as the ten-men of Chelsea raced to a 2-0 advantage. However, Harvey Barnes got a goal back for Leicester with a superb strike in the 66th minute. Thomas Tuchel’s men showed some grit to hang on to their narrow lead and secured an impressive 2-1 win in front of their home fans.
