Writz became the youngest player for Bayer Leverkusen as he toppled Kai Havertz when he made his debut in the 2020/21 season. Against Bayern Munich, he came onto the pitch from the bench and scored a memorable curling goal. This goal earned him the youngest goalscorer title, but Moukoko broke the record with his goal. The goal is even more memorable because it came against the champions.
