Recent reports from 90min state that Fulham are keen on signing Manchester United midfielder Andreas Pereira in the ongoing transfer window as Marco Silva looks set to add to his option at the centre of the park ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The newly promoted side have been permitted to talk to the Brazilian midfielder after agreeing on a fee worth £11 million with Manchester United.

“I’m not the one who decides – it’s up to Man United. I would like to stay at Flamengo, but it’s not in my hands. I’ll see what’s best for me and the club.” he said recently.

“I love Flamengo. We will soon speak and decide. My relationship between me and Flamengo has always been very good. This year was incredible for me.

“If it doesn’t work out, I’ll always leave with my head held high. I love the club, I love Flamengo, I’m Flamengo. I will come back in the future.”

Pereira’s loan at Flamengo expires this week, so the match against Deportes Tiloma on Wednesday could be his final game for the Scarlet-Black.

A Good Move For All The Parties Involved?

For a player who has spent four of his last five seasons on loan, Andreas Pereira should seek a club that would guarantee him game time week in and week out. Aged 26, regular game-time should be his first priority if he wishes to fulfil his potential in the upcoming years.

Given the presence of some world-class midfielders at Manchester United, it’s improbable that he’ll be securing regular minutes at Old Trafford, so a permanent move away seems to be the best for his future. Furthermore, the sum of £11 million might help Erik Ten Hag in recruiting better players in the summer transfer window.

Playing in the Premier League, the Brazilian international will be in the spotlight, so if he continues to put up decent performances every week, Tite might get him into his plans for the Qatar World Cup.
