Tottenham Hotspur entertained Burnley at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn all three points at home. Spurs made a dominant start to the game and managed to break the deadlock in the dying embers of the first half via Harry Kane’s penalty which gave them a 1-0 lead at half-time.

The North London outfit sat on their slight one-goal advantage well in the second 45 minutes and secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory in front of their home fans.

Let’s take a look at how each Tottenham player performed during the match against the Clarets.

GK: Hugo Lloris – 7/10

The French keeper had to make just one save during the game and earned an easy clean sheet at home.

CB: Davinson Sanchez – 7.5/10

He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was also quite lively going forward.

CB: Eric Dier – 7/10

Dier dealt with the danger when needed and created one key chance going forward.

CB: Ben Davies – 7/10

He made a couple of crucial defensive contributions and was a threat at the other end of the field as well.

RM: Emerson Royal – 7/10

The Brazilian sensation performed his defensive duties well and had a few bright moments in the final third.

CM: Rodrigo Bentancur – 7.5/10

He anchored the midfield with conviction and caused a few problems for the Burnley defenders with his passing.

CM: Pierre-Emile Højbjerg – 7/10

Hojbjerg offered decent protection for his teammates at the back but provided very little in the opponent’s half.

LM: Ryan Sessegnon – 7.5/10

Sessegnon was solid at the back and engineered a handful of decent chances for his teammates from the left flank.

RAM: Lucas Moura – 7.5/10

His pace and creativity caused a lot of headaches for the opposition defenders. He got replaced in the 78th minute.

LAM: Heung-min Son – 7/10

Son was always looking to create openings for others around him but failed to register a goal today.

ST: Harry Kane – 7.5/10

The England international was a real handful in the final third and scored the only goal of the game from the penalty spot just before the half-time break.

RAM: Dejan Kulusevski – 6/10

He struggled to get into the rhythm of the game.

CB: Joe Rodon – N/A

Rodon didn’t get enough minutes to warrant a rating.
