Manchester City clashed heads with West Ham United at the London Stadium earlier today as they looked to secure a win and move one step closer to the Premier League title. The visitors made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 24th minute when Jarrod Bowen found the back of the net. Bowen struck again in the 45th minute as Man City went into the half-time break 2-0 down on the scoreline.

Pep Guardiola’s players made a good start to the second half and got a goal back via Jack Grealish’s deflected strike. Man City netted a fortunate equaliser in the 69th minute when Vladimir Coufal found the back of his own net. Riyad Mahrez missed a penalty late in the game as the contest ended 2-2 with the Mancunian giants only coming away with a point from the English capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Man City player fared during the match against the Hammers.

GK: Ederson – 5.5/10

The Brazilian keeper didn’t make a save in the game and won’t be happy after letting in two goals in the first half.

RB: Joao Cancelo – 6/10

The Portuguese right-back was not worked hard defensively and had a couple of bright moments in the West Ham half.

CB: Fernandinho – 5.5/10

He looked shaky at the back and made some poor errors of judgment which went unpunished.

CB: Aymeric Laporte – 6.5/10

The Spaniard cleared the danger when needed and was tidy with his passing.

LB: Oleksandr Zinchenko – 7.5/10

Zinchenko did his fair share of defending and was a constant threat going forward. He created multiple chances for his teammates in the final third.

CM: Bernardo Silva – 6/10

The Portuguese sensation worked hard but struggled to take any of his opportunities in front of the opponent’s goal.

CM: Rodri – 8.5/10

He anchored the midfield really well and was a real threat in the opposition half. Rodri has got an assist to show for his efforts.

CM: Kevin De Bruyne – 7/10

The Belgian international showed some glimpses of his brilliance but there was no goal or assist for him today.

RW: Riyad Mahrez – 6/10

He caused a lot of headaches for Moyes’ defenders but was guilty of missing a crucial penalty which could still play a major role in the Premier League’s title race.

ST: Gabriel Jesus – 7.5/10

Jesus made a handful of promising runs with the ball and was a real threat inside the West Ham penalty box.

LW: Jack Grealish – 8/10

The English talent made a lot of exciting dribbles in the final third and was fortunate to score with a deflected attempt.
