Manchester City will clash heads with Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineux on Wednesday evening, hoping to pick up a positive result and maintain their position at the top of the Premier League table.

The Wolves will be coming into the match on the back of a 2-2 draw with Chelsea, whereas the Citizens have recorded an emphatic 5-0 victory over Newcastle United on Sunday.

Team News

Manchester City

Pep Guardiola has confirmed Ruben Dias, John Stones and Kyle Walker will miss Manchester City’s final three games with injury. The squad remains wary of the important fixtures ahead and would hope to steer clear of conceiving any other injury concerns.

Pep Guardiola will probably opt for the 4-3-3 formation with several tweaks from the last game as Phil Foden looks likely to make his way back into the starting eleven.

Manchester City XI

Ederson; Cancelo, Laporte, Fernandinho, Zinchenko; Silva, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Sterling, Foden

Wolves remain without right-back Nelson Semedo and centre-back Max Kilman, while forward Daniel Podence is doubtful.

Chiquinho came off the bench against Chelsea and provided two assists as they fought back to secure a point, so he could feature again, although likely from the bench.

Bruno Lage might probably opt for the 3-5-2 formation with fewer tweaks from the previous game as Trincao looks to start.

Wolves Predicted XI

Jose Sa; Boly, Coady, Saiss; Otto, Dendoncker, Neves, Moutinho, Ait-Nouri; Trincao, Jimenez

Key Men

Manchester City

The Sky Blues will rely on the creativity of Mahrez, Sterling and Foden as they look to collectively produce a winning performance on Tuesday.

De Bruyne will be tasked with creating chances for the attacking trio, whereas Ederson will be expected to make some solid stops at the back.

Jose Sa will have to give a strong performance at the back if Wolves are to keep a clean sheet in this game. Raul Jimenez will carry most of the goal-scoring responsibility.

Ruben Neves will be tasked with distributing the ball efficiently and creating chances for the men up front.
