Manchester City welcomed Brighton and Hove Albion at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a win in front of their home supporters. Pep Guardiola’s men dominated the game in the first half but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.

Riyad Mahrez finally broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute with a calm finish. Phil Foden doubled Man City’s advantage just 12 minutes later with a deflected attempt. Bernardo Silva managed to kill the game off with a solid left-footed strike in the 82nd minute as the contest ended 3-0 in favour of the Mancunian giants.

Let’s take a look at how each Man City player performed during the clash against the Seagulls.

GK: Ederson – 6.5/10

The Brazilian keeper had to make just one save in the game and secured an easy clean sheet at home.

RB: Joao Cancelo – 8/10

Cancelo gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and made two good chances going forward.

CB: John Stones – 7/10

The English defensive ace earned the ball back a couple of times and was quite accurate with his passing.

CB: Aymeric Laporte – 7/10

The Spaniard was strong in the air and made plenty of clearances at the back.
