Manchester United clashed heads with Atletico Madrid at the Wanda Metropolitano earlier tonight as they focused on securing a good result on the road. The Red Devils made a poor start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the seventh minute when Joao Felix scored with a brilliant header. Ralf Rangnick’s men failed to come up with a response and went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

Anthony Elanga finally managed to equalise for Man United in the 80th minute as the contest finished with the Mancunian outfit earning a hard-fought 1-1 draw at the Spanish capital.

Let’s take a look at how each Man United player performed during the clash against Atletico Madrid.

GK: David de Gea – 6/10

The Spaniard hardly had a save to make in the game but will be disappointed after conceding an early goal.

RB: Victor Lindelof – 6.5/10

Lindelof tried his best to keep the Atletico Madrid attackers frustrated and was tidy with his passing.

CB: Raphael Varane – 6.5/10

He cleared the danger when required and was a dominant presence in the air. Still, there was no clean sheet for him tonight.

CB: Harry Maguire – 6.5/10

Maguire was strong in the air and didn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when required.

The Frenchman made one key chance going forward but lasted for just 65 minutes before he was replaced.

RW: Marcus Rashford – 6/10

He had a couple of bright moments in the game but never looked like he would score.

The Serbian talent offered some steel to Rangnick’s midfield.

LB: Alex Telles – 6/10

Telles made one promising run with the ball.
