In a recent report, Super Deporte mentioned that Sevilla attacker Youssef En-Nesyri is on Manchester United’s radar. It has been stated that the Moroccan centre-forward fits the profile of the Mancunian club are looking for ahead of the January transfer window.
En-Nesyri’s Decent Start To This La Liga Campaign
The Fes-born talent has made a good start to this campaign despite missing a lot of games over the past few months. En-Nesyri has been involved in nine matches for the Andalusian outfit this season, netting three goals and providing two assists across multiple competitions.
The 24-year-old has done well to average 1.6 clearances, 2.0 shots and 0.7 key passes per game in La Liga. Still, he needs to work on improving his ball distribution after making 74.1% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via whoscored).
Should Manchester United Get En-Nesyri On Board?
En-Nesyri can use his quickness to make a few promising runs with the ball in the attacking end of the field. He has got the eye to set up some clear-cut chances for his teammates up top. The Morocco international can be an unforgiving finisher in front of the opponent’s goal when he is playing well on the field. He has also got a good leap in him that helps him win a few aerial duels for his side.
The Sevilla striker has got what it takes to be a success story at a top club like Man United. En-Nesyri could bring some added firepower to the Red Devils‘ attack and will no doubt increase competition for places within their match-day squad. His addition will also ease Cristiano Ronaldo’s goal-scoring workload at the Theatre of Dreams. Moreover, he could serve as a potential replacement for Edinson Cavani whose contract runs out at the end of this campaign.
At 24, En-Nesyri has got his best years ahead of him which makes him a good fit for the Mancunian giants next year. Thus, Man United would be wise to try everything in their power to lure the 39-time Morocco international to Old Trafford when the transfer window reopens at the start of next year.
