Leicester City will lock horns with Tottenham Hotspur at the King Power Stadium on Sunday night, hoping to pick up a win and finish their season in a strong fashion. The Lilywhites will be coming into the match on the back of a disappointing 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, whereas the Foxes recorded a similar 2-1 loss to Chelsea.

The visitors will probably opt for a 5-3-2 formation; however, Brendan Rodgers might keep changes to a minimum for the upcoming home encounter.

Kasper Schmeichel is expected to start in goal for the Foxes. The Danish shot-stopper would be hoping to put up a strong performance and secure a clean sheet on Sunday.

Jonny Evans has been ruled out of the weekend clash.

“He’s still sore.” – Rodgers stated in his post-match press conference.

“He’s unlikely for the weekend, so he’s probably played his last game.”

As a result, the Irish tactician could choose to field a back five consisting of Timothy Castagne, Caglar Soyuncu, Luke Thomas, Fofana and Marco Albrighton as they look to keep things solid at the back on Sunday.

However, their prime objective will be to keep Harry Kane and Son Heung-min quiet throughout the ninety minutes.

Youri Tielemans will partner Ndidi at the centre of the park; however, they might be assigned very different roles. The former should take up a more defensive position, shielding the back three, whereas the latter will stay central, dictating play with his ball distribution.

James Maddison will start in the attacking midfield role. The England international would be determined to set up some clear-cut goal scoring chances for the front men.

Ayoze Perez will have to settle for a place on the bench and might come on in the latter stages of the game if needed.

Jamie Vardy will lead the charge for the Foxes down the middle. The English striker will fancy his chances of finding the back of the net when he faces off against the Tottenham defence that has kept two clean sheets in their last five matches across all competitions.

Kelechi Iheanacho will take up the secondary striker position. He has been in fine form lately, and he’d to hoping to add to his goal-scoring tally against Ryan Mason’s side.
