Navas Gets 8; Casemiro With 7.5 | Real Madrid Players Rated From Their Draw Vs Getafe

Real Madrid’s lacklustre season in La Liga continued as they were held to a 0-0 by Getafe in their own backyard. The Galacticos missed out on a chance to put pressure on Atletico Madrid with this draw for the battle to end the season on the second place.

The Galacticos tried to attack from the very first minute of the match. Though their build-up play looked enticing, Zinedine Zidane’s men were not able to breach the opposition, with their goalkeeper David Soria making some very good saves to keep the likes of Benzema, Bale and Casemiro at bay.

Here is how the Real Madrid players were rated from their draw against Getafe.

Keylor Navas: 8

Made some brilliant saves to keep his side in the match. Denied Molina with an outstanding stretch in the second half. In fact, both the goalkeepers were in exceptional form in this match.

Dani Carvajal: 7

Looked agile throughout the match. Delivered some perfect balls into the box with no one to take advantage of. Dished out a solid defensive display as well.

Raphaël Varane: 7

Kept playing on the shoulders of the opposition attackers and helped Navas keep a clean sheet. One of his better performances this season for the Galacticos.

Nacho: 6

Looked a little shaky in the first half. Defended well in the second half though.

Sergio Reguilón: 7

Was a livewire on the pitch down the left flank. Ran up and down the pitch and looked confident while defending as well as attacking.

Casemiro: 7.5

Made several tackles and interceptions to break down the opposition attacks in the middle of the pitch. His passes were also very accurate as he initiated attacks from the midfield.

Federico Valverde: 6

His passing was wayward in the first half but improved in the second. The lack of composure looked evident in his style of play.

Isco: 7

Kept getting into channels and delivered some defence-splitting passes. Had the best chance of the night to put his side ahead but the Getafe defender did well to block the shot.

Gareth Bale: 5.5

Looked far from convincing with his touches and runs into the box in the first half. Tried to regain some composure in the second half but lacked the end product.

Brahim Díaz: 6

Brought out his bag of tricks to mesmerise the opposition defence in the second half. In the first half, however, his decision making looked shoddy, and his range of shots was also very limited.

Karim Benzema: 6

Not a great outing for the Frenchman. Did not get many balls as the Getafe defenders dealt with him well. Took a few good shots but Soria was equal to them.

Substitutes

Lucas Vazquez: 5

Looked to be struggling with his fitness. Made a few good runs though.

Marco Asensio: 4

Nothing worth mentioning from the Spaniard.

Toni Kroos: NA

Played too little to warrant a rating.
