Pressure has been mounting on Ronald Koeman after a dismal start to both the Premier League and the Europa League. The pressure has probably reached its peak now as Sean Dyche’s Burnley handed Everton a sickening defeat. A superb goal from Burnley and Hendrick and the defensive organization was enough to get past a lack-lustre Everton team. Here’s how the Everton players have been rated in their loss to Burnley.

GK: Jordan Pickford – 5/10

Got fooled by Hendrick and conceded. His distribution is not consistent in terms of his quality either.

RB: Cuko Martina – 4/10

The goal came from his side but he did a lot this evening. He provided the only width Everton could muster and tried a bit to get in crosses.

CB: Michael Keane – 4/10

Had a quiet game and had less amount of trouble to deal with than his partner Williams.

CB: Ashley Williams – 3/10

Wood ensured that he kept Williams on his toes throughout the game. He suffered today and his inaccurate passes certainly stirred angry whispers from the Goodison.

LB: Leighton Baines – 3.5/10

Baines had an immensely frustrating afternoon. His crosses were pathetic as well.

CM: Morgan Schneiderlin – 5/10

Moved the ball around whenever he could and made a few interceptions as well.

CM: Idrissa Gueye – 2/10

He did not even do justice to the amount of time he got on the ball. His long-range efforts were infuriating and disgraceful. Sloppy in possession and made basic passes only.

RM: Nikola Vlasic – 3.5/10

Made some runs forward but that got the team nothing.

LM: Gylfi Sigurdsson – 1/10

Got the best chance of the game arguably early on and the finish was seriously poor. He got another chance immediately and that also was not taken. His touches were lousy and he was largely ineffective. Horrible!

FW: Dominic Calvert-Lewin – 4/10

Looked like he could do something whenever he got the ball but the team itself was bad in the final third. The team should figure out a way to get the best out of him.

ST: Oumar Niasse – 4.5/10

Kept trying till he was substituted. The balls from Everton just did not involve him much and that’s the saddest part.

CM: Wayne Rooney – 3/10

Didn’t make the desired impact and he certainly looked frustrated.

CM: Tom Davies – 4/10

Brought a little sharpness to the team and tried to get the ball forward but it was to no avail.

FW: Sandro Ramirez – N/A

Came on very late.
