Watford have had an enthusiastic run in the Premier League so far as they seemed to have shrugged off their last year’s disappointing run. Walter Mazzarri led the side last season in what was a disaster for the Hornets and as a result, the hierarchy decided to relieve him of his duties.
They appointed Marco Silva this season who has been able to live up to the expectations to some extent. Following their hefty investment in the summer, the new summer signings gelled up well with the side so far and have kept their side in the top half of the table. The Hornets have proven that they have the ability to rise to the top and their performance has spoken volumes for them.
Barring a heavy loss against Manchester City they are yet to lose any match in the top tier and are expected to give the Gunners a tough fight.

Defence
Heurelho Gomes will once again take the field against the Gunners. The 36-year-old has been a pillar of strength for the Hornets and is likely to face a stern test against the Gunners.
Adrian Mariappa has been quite good with his performance in the Hornets backline. Christian Kabasele has had a strong season so far and together the duo need to be on their heels to stop the Arsenal attack.
Kiko Femenia has cemented his position on the left side of the defence with some top-notch performances and will be eager to prove his credential once again. has been pretty inconsistent this season and will be hoping for a good game.
Jose Holebas has been pretty inconsistent this season and will be hoping for a good game.
Midfield
Nathaniel Chalobah’s absence is destined to be felt in this game. Silva is likely to introduce a double pivot in the midfield. Abdoulaye Doucouré will be in the control of the midfield alongside Etienne Capoue.
Capoue needs to push the side forward and will work to bridge the gap between midfield and attack.
Attack
Tom Cleverley has started this season in a more advanced position and has settled in well. He has to take care of the attacking responsibility in the creative third.
Richarlison has been a mainstay on the left flank and should start this match. Andre Carrillo will start from the right flank. The summer arrival needs to take extra responsibility against a decent lineup for the visitors. Silva has mostly dependant on Andre Gray this season but given the importance of this match, Troy Deeney should get the call.
