The Matchweek 4 of Premier League saw a number of clubs as well as players getting back in their stride in the competition, resulting it to heat up and bring out the unpredictable nature of one of the most enthralling leagues in Europe to the fore.
While teams like Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Arsenal got victories under their belt, the fate was not as good for Everton, as the Merseyside club had to face their second defeat of the season in a row. Newcastle United who are still busy getting their footing right in their comeback season in the Premier League were delighted to get their second successive win in the bag.
West Bromwich Albion and Huddersfield had to face their first deafest of the season against their respective opponents.
Quite a few players proved their mettle in the recently concluded match week, getting crucial goals for their respective teams. They played a very important role in their squad and made them strengthen their places on the league table. Three such players are as follows-
Rob Elliot-
The English goalkeeper helped his side Newcastle United to gain their second win of the season in a row by keeping a clean sheet against Swansea City in their fourth game of the competition. His brilliant ball handing and fearless attitude even in the face of the most difficult of situations helped the Magpies add to their tally on the points table and helped them to gain some place on the leader board.
The Tyneside club are currently placed in the tenth position, thanks to a gallant show by their shot stopper Elliot, who made sure the Swans can’t get anything past him throughout the match.
Harry Kane-
The top scorer from the last two seasons in the Premier League returned among the goals after having a goalless last month and scored a brace against Everton to hand his side three crucial points, taking them to the fifth position in the league table. Kane looked sharp in his approach towards the game and his two goals came from a long range stunner in the 28th minute while turning a pinpoint cross from Ben Davies into the goal in the 46th minute. This also marked his 100th goal in the English top flight.
Danny Welbeck-
Arsenal were in dire need of a win after the 4-0 embarrassment at the hands of Liverpool in their last outing and got what they needed with a 3-0 victory against Bournemouth. Welbeck scored a brace to guide his side to a triumph and was clearly the pick of the players for his side in Matchweek 4.
