Aden Flint has generated plenty of interest in the current summer transfer window owing to his brilliant performance in the last season for his current club, Bristol City. The player has attracted a number of clubs from the Championship, who are looking for his signature on the contract agreement in order to get him into the side for the next season and stabilise the defence.
The 28-year-old has been subject to a bid from Leeds United, who faced severe problems in their backline in the last term and had to finish the season in the seventh spot in the league table, within touching distance of qualifying for the Championship playoffs. However, the English centre back has also been targeted by fellow Championship side Birmingham City, who are looking to include some depth in their defence, so as to make it a good season for them in the next term.
The player has made a whopping 200 career appearances for his current club and has established himself as the main man in their defence over the last few seasons. He came into the side in 2013 and besides stabilising their defence, has also made full use of his height and huge frame to add his name on the score sheet on a staggering 29 occasions throughout his career so far.
The prized possession of the Bristol City side and one of the most inspiring figures in the Championship, Flint has been poised to make a move out of his current club in the summer. However, Bristol City is reportedly not looking to let go of the player in any situation, especially to a rival club in the Championship. Flint also has a contract with the Robins that will see him stay back at the Ashton Gate Stadium till 2020.
