Aden Flint has generated plenty of interest in the current summer transfer window owing to his brilliant performance in the last season for his current club, Bristol City. The player has attracted a number of clubs from the Championship, who are looking for his signature on the contract agreement in order to get him into the side for the next season and stabilise the defence.

The 28-year-old has been subject to a bid from Leeds United, who faced severe problems in their backline in the last term and had to finish the season in the seventh spot in the league table, within touching distance of qualifying for the Championship playoffs. However, the English centre back has also been targeted by fellow Championship side Birmingham City, who are looking to include some depth in their defence, so as to make it a good season for them in the next term.

The player has made a whopping 200 career appearances for his current club and has established himself as the main man in their defence over the last few seasons. He came into the side in 2013 and besides stabilising their defence, has also made full use of his height and huge frame to add his name on the score sheet on a staggering 29 occasions throughout his career so far.

The prized possession of the Bristol City side and one of the most inspiring figures in the Championship, Flint has been poised to make a move out of his current club in the summer. However, Bristol City is reportedly not looking to let go of the player in any situation, especially to a rival club in the Championship. Flint also has a contract with the Robins that will see him stay back at the Ashton Gate Stadium till 2020.

Birmingham’s new manager Harry Redknapp, who is known to be one of the most respected coaches in the whole of English Football, has grave interest in bringing the player to his club in pursuit of a better season in the next term, with a hope to make it into the top flight since their relegation from it in the year 2011.

The English defender is known for his ability to hold onto the ball for a significant amount of time, making sure of the fact that the opposition does not see too much of the ball and also clear it out from the danger area. One such player can be a valuable addition to any team and Birmingham is not an exception to that.
