Chelsea have tasted triumph in the Premier League for the sixth time in their history and will look to succeed in defending their title in the next season as well. All the players have contributed to their fullest in achieving this feat, especially the Belgian captain Eden Hazard, who has been in inspirational form throughout the season for the Blues.
However, there is a possibility that the mercurial midfielder might leave the club this summer for the Spanish giants Real Madrid. The Galacticos have been in great form in the last season as well, and have won the Spanish La Liga as well the Champions League to show for their splendid effort. They are looking to build on that success for the next season as well and might look to bring in a few changes in their line-up to make it even stronger.
There have been strong efforts from Chelsea to keep hold of their mercurial midfielder for the next season as well. However, the Blues have also been looking to keep reinforcements ready in case the Belgian playmaker exits Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Among a number of names discussed as the probable replacement for Hazard, the Napoli midfielder Lorenzo Insigne has been on the top of the list for the Blues. The current coach of Chelsea, Antonio Conte, has the experience of playing with the Italian International during his term with the Italian National team before joining Chelsea last summer, and he will be more than happy to have him again playing under his coaching in the next season, given Insigne agrees to the terms of transfer this summer.
The Italian midfielder has been one of the best players in the Italian Serie A in the recently concluded season, having scored 20 goals for his club Napoli. He has also laid off twelve assists for his teammates to score goals in the last season, proving himself to be one of the best players in the upcoming days.
Reportedly, Chelsea is ready to offer wages in tune with £200,000 per week this summer in order to bring in the midfield sensation from Napoli, thus doubling his current salary. However, the deal is subject to the agreement of his current club and whether they are willing to let go of their star man or not in the next season.
With Real Madrid making their position stronger in order to bag Hazard for the next season, the Blues might also strengthen their efforts to bring Insigne in this summer.
