Brighton & Hove Albion’s success story in the Championship this season has been the reward which they received for their relentless toil and perseverance. The Seagulls constructed themselves brick by brick and went on to pile decent results in their favour on a consistent basis and no wonder why they earned an automatic promotion spot.
Despite their failure to beat Aston Villa in their last game which allowed Newcastle United to leapfrog past them and clinch the Championship title, they should be proud of themselves and the things they have successfully mustered.
Chris Hughton has spread his charm at the American Express Community Stadium but he has to bolster his squad in the summer transfer window before he lines up his troops to face the elite clubs of the country. Albion would be keen to sharpen up their attacking arsenal as a perfect blend of quality and quantity would be called for in the English top division.
Hughton must have started to assess his targets for the summer and reportedly, one of the players to have fallen on his radar is Chelsea’s promising starlet Tammy Abraham who has chalked a very successful season with Bristol City.
Abraham was shipped to the Robins in the Championship for the entire campaign and without any shadow of a doubt, the Englishman hasn’t failed to amaze. In 41 games in the second tier of English football, the 19-year-old poacher has banged 23 goals and registered 3 assists to his name and has been one of the instrumental factors in putting Bristol City in the safe zone.
A striker with brutally ruthless attitude in front of the goal, Abraham has been absolutely exemplary and has shown his sharp attacking prowess by consistently banging goals left right and centre and has emerged as one of the most sought after commodities on the English soil.
Abraham is a striker, who relies heavily on his blistering pace and couples it with an adequate level of productivity. He dribbles well and finds the right passes in the final third. Besides, the Chelsea youth product times his runs in a shrewd manner and what is the most intriguing aspect about him is his ability to make defensive contributions which make him a perfect player for any side.
The Blues are seemingly unlikely to hand enough chances to Abraham owing to their knack of relying on proven world-class products. Thus, with a move to Brighton & Hove Albion, he can get the much-needed game time under his belt and shoot himself towards the best of the division and help the Seagulls in staying in the Premier League.
