Manchester City Identify This Nottingham Forest Ace As A Top Target: Should They Get Him On Board?

In a recent segment on Youtube, respected journalist Fabrizio Romano mentioned that Manchester City have identified Nottingham Forest ace Elliot Anderson as a top target for this summer transfer window. Romano said,

“Man City and Enzo Maresca have already agreed on considering Elliot Anderson as a top target.

“Then they have some other names on the list in case this deal doesn’t happen, let’s see what happens with Rodri as well.

“Some players like Enzo Fernandez and more have been mentioned internally at Man City.”

Anderson’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

The 23-year-old has enjoyed a solid campaign at the East Midlands club as he has produced a handful of impressive displays for them in the Premier League. Anderson has scored four times and earned five assists in 50 matches for Nottingham this season in multiple competitions.

The English sensation is currently one of the best central midfielders in the Premier League. Hence, Man City would do well to get a deal done for Anderson in this summer transfer window.

Should Manchester City Get Anderson On Board?

Anderson loves a tackle and can scan the danger well to secure possession back for his team inside his half. He doesn’t mind putting his foot through the ball when needed and is a tidy passer as well.

The English midfield ace can shoot the ball with power from long range and is a strong runner with the ball. Anderson mainly plays as a box-to-box midfielder but can also serve as a defensive midfielder or play in the number ten position if told to do so. He has already proven his worth in England and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Man City.

We can expect Anderson to bring more quality and depth to the Premier League outfit’s midfield department. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Etihad Stadium next season.

At 23, Anderson has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for Man City to consider in this summer transfer window. He might even help the Mancunian club challenge for some major trophies over the next few years. Therefore, Man City should focus on getting him on board this off-season.
