Leeds United Are Keeping Tabs On This Championship Winger: Should Farke Go For Him?

In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey claimed that Leeds United are keeping tabs on Millwall winger Femi Azeez. It has been revealed that the Whites would have to compete with Everton, Brentford, Brighton and Hove Albion, Fulham and Sunderland in the race to sign the English wide player next summer.

Azeez’s Impressive Numbers In The EFL Championship

Azeez has caught the eye at times with his performances on the right side of Millwall’s attack this season. The 24-year-old has scored eight goals and picked up seven assists in 26 appearances for the English outfit in this campaign across all competitions.

The English talent is currently among the most productive wingers in the English Championship. Thus, it is only logical for Leeds to try and get him on board this off-season.

His current contract at Millwall will expire in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for the Whites to sign him on a cut-price deal this summer.

Should Leeds United Boss Daniel Farke Go For Azeez?

Azeez is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some decent chances for his teammates to find the back of the net.

The London-born sensation can strike the ball with venom from long range and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide positions. Azeez mainly operates as a right-winger but can also play as a left-sided wide player if asked to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League.

We can expect Azeez to add more goals and creativity to Leeds boss Daniel Farke’s attack. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the West Yorkshire club in the coming years.

At 24, Azeez has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a good choice for the Whites to pursue at the end of this campaign. With all things considered, Farke would be wise to go for a winger of his quality and skill set later this year.
