Tottenham Hotspur Could Move In For This Crystal Palace Keeper: Decent Option For Spurs?

Speaking on the Transfer Insider podcast, journalist Pete O’Rourke mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur could move in for Crystal Palace keeper Dean Henderson. O’Rourke said,

“It would take a lot, no doubt about that. Dean Henderson is crucial to that Palace project going forward.

“He’s taken over the captaincy since the departure of Marc Guehi.

“If Vicario does end up leaving Tottenham this summer, they’re going to have to bring in a replacement, there’s no doubt about that.

“Dean Henderson would be somebody who could definitely go in there and make an impact at Tottenham if they were to pursue their interest.

“But from a Palace point of view, I don’t see them letting him go easily.

“They’ve obviously had difficulties in the last couple of windows, losing Ebere Eze and Marc Guehi, and they wont want to lose another key player. It would send out the wrong signals.

“So it won’t be easy for Tottenham if they do plan to make a move for Dean Henderson.”

Henderson’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

Henderson is having a decent campaign at the London club as he has produced a string of impressive displays for them in the Premier League. The 28-year-old has conceded 41 goals and kept 14 clean sheets in 37 matches for the Eagles this season across all competitions.

The English talent is currently among the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. Thus, it won’t be easy for Spurs to get a deal done for him later this year.

Is Henderson A Decent Option For Tottenham Hotspur?

Henderson can be a safe pair of hands in between the sticks when he is playing with confidence on the field. He is a solid handler of the ball and can use his quick reflexes to make a few important saves at the back for his team.

Standing at 1.88m, the English sensation is a commanding presence inside his penalty area. He has got a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

We can expect Henderson to add more quality and depth to Tottenham‘s backline. He is good enough to compete with Guglielmo Vicario for a regular starting spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

At 28, Henderson is about to enter his prime, which makes him a decent option for Spurs to consider in this transfer window.
