Tottenham Hotspur have two defeats in their last two games, which came prior to the international break. So they will be eager to change things around when they take onto the field against Manchester City in the Premier League this weekend.
Spurs are 10th on the domestic points table with 16 points after 11 rounds of play. They will aim for nothing less than three points especially when they have to lock horns with Roma in the Europa League after this fixture.
4-3-3 Tottenham Hotspur Predicted Lineup Vs Manchester City
Defence
Guglielmo Vicario didn’t have a good time against Ipswich Town. He will be eager to prove himself against the Citizens on Saturday. Pedro Porro should retain his spot as the right-back in the lineup.
Cristian Romero is doubtful due to a foot problem. In his absence, Ben Davies forms the centre-back duo with Radu Dragusin. At the left-back spot, Destiny Udogie continues his operations.
Midfield
Rodrigo Bentancur is unavailable for this game as he was handed a seven-match ban due to his comments. Notably, Spurs have lodged an appeal to reduce the length of the punishment.
In Bentancur’s absence, Yves Bissouma or James Maddison is likely to be called up to feature in the midfield. He will have the companies of Dejan Kulusevski and Pape Matar Sarr.
Attack
Son Heung-min scored the last time he faced Manchester City. He will once again have to big role to play in the team’s success.
Brennan Johnson and Dominic Solanke should join him in the attacking frontline. Both have underperformed in recent games and need to take more responsibility.
Boss Ange Postecoglou will not have the services of Micky van de Ven, Richarlison and Wilson Odobert. All three are out due to a hamstring injury.
