Amadou Onana Starts The Game | 4-2-3-1 Aston Villa Predicted Lineup Vs Liverpool

The form of Aston Villa has seen a dip in recent weeks with their latest defeat coming against Club Brugge in the Champions League on Wednesday. It’s an alarming situation before they head into the clash with Liverpool in the Premier League.

The Villans will travel to Anfield to face the Reds on Sunday. While the former are sixth, the latter are atop the points table. Hence, extracting even a point could be a good result for Unai Emery’s side in this fixture.

Defence

Emiliano Martinez was arguably Aston Villa’s best man on the pitch against Club Brugge. He made multiple important saves and a similar performance will be expected from him this weekend. Right-back Ezri Konsa had a below-par display and should step up immediately.

While Diego Carlos continues at the heart of the defence, Tyrone Mings will probably sent to the bench. He gave away a penalty immaturely and Pau Torres should come to fill his spot. Lucas Digne is likely to walk back into the XI in place of left-back Ian Maatsen.

Midfield

Youri Tielemans remains an automatic pick in the middle of the park while Boubacar Kamara should make way for Amadou Onana.

Attack

John McGinn will once again provide the bridge between the attack and the midfield. He will have Morgan Rogers’ company on the wing. On the other hand, Jacob Ramsey is the front runner to be deployed sending Leon Bailey on the bench.

Ollie Watkins didn’t have an impactful performance on Wednesday and has to contribute more. His role will be crucial against the Reds if the Villans want to do something notable.

Ross Barkley (unspecified) and Matty Cash (calf) will miss the clash due to the injuries mentioned above.
