Arsenal clashed heads with Preston North End at the Deepdale Stadium earlier tonight as they looked to secure a positive result on the road in the EFL Cup. The Gunners made a good start to the game and got their noses ahead in the 24th minute when Gabriel Jesus found the back of the net. Ethan Nwaneri doubled his side’s advantage just nine minutes later as Mikel Arteta‘s men went into the half-time break 2-0 up on the scoreline.
Kai Havertz scored his team’s third goal in the 57th minute as the Gunners ended up securing an impressive 3-0 win away from home.

Setford made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.

He earned possession back a few times for the Gunners and did well to pick up a couple of assists as well.

Zinchenko performed his defensive duties well and made one decent chance going forward.
CM: Ethan Nwaneri – 8.5/10
He was a constant menace in the final third and managed to score in the 33rd minute.

Jorginho anchored the midfield well and made one good chance going forward.
CM: Mikel Merino – 7/10
He got stuck in with some solid tackles and was good on the ball.
RW: Raheem Sterling – 8.5/10
Sterling caused all sorts of chaos on the right flank and did everything but score tonight.
ST: Gabriel Jesus – 8.5/10
He scored the opener in the 24th minute and deserves credit for earning an assist as well.
LW: Gabriel Martinelli – 7/10
Martinelli had a few bright moments in the game but there was no goal for him.
