Manchester United entertained Leicester City at Old Trafford earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a victory away from home in the EFL Cup. The Red Devils made a bright start to the game and scored the opener in the 15th minute thanks to Casemiro’s effort. Alejandro Garnacho doubled his team’s lead in the 28th minute before Bilal El Khannouss got a goal back for the visitors just five minutes later. Bruno Fernandes restored Man United’s two-goal advantage in the 36th minute.
Casemiro scored again for his side in the 39th minute but Conor Coady got a goal back for Leicester in the dying embers of the first half. Man United went into the half-time break 4-2 up on the scoreline.
Fernandes added another goal to his tally in the 59th minute as the Red Devils cruised to an impressive 5-2 win at Old Trafford.

Martinez kept things tidy defensively but struggled to influence the game going forward.

He anchored the midfield with conviction and was careful with his ball distribution.

Casemiro came back to defend when required and scored two goals in the first half.

He caught the eye at times on the right flank but failed to find the back of the net.

Fernandes was a real menace in the final third and managed to bag a brace tonight. He deserves to be named the man of the match.
