Premier League toppers Liverpool will return to the Europa League to face Sparta Praha in the Round of 16 at Epet ARENA Stadium. They will come into the clash following a series of impressive performances. Their confidence will be on top while battling out on Thursday.
Boss Jurgen Klopp will also be rotating the team to give rest to some key players ahead of their vital game against Manchester City this weekend. Despite the rotation, it is expected to be a good clash to watch out between the two sides.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup Vs Sparta Praha
Defence
Caoimhin Kelleher has been in terrific form and will once again line up between the sticks in the absence of Alisson Becker. After operating in the midfield Joe Gomez is likely to return to right-back position and will replace Conor Bradley.
While Jarell Quansah is likely to get some minutes, Ibrahima Konate is likely to be named as the second centre-back. Virgil van Dijk will get the much-needed rest to remain fresh to cut down Erling Haaland’s threat on Sunday. Kostas Tsimikas is going to start as the left-back.
Trent Alexander-Arnold and Joel Matip will not be available due to injuries.
Midfield
The midfield will not have the services of Thiago, Stefan Bajcetic, Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones. Despite that, the Reds have quality options to pick from. James McConnell and Alexis Mac Allister are likely to feature in the midfield alongside Bobby Clark, who should earn back-to-back starts.
Harvey Elliott, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo will be starting on the bench and will come as substitutes if needed.
Attack
Luis Diaz and Kaide Gordon are likely to take care of the flanks with Cody Gakpo hovering around the opposition’s penalty box.
While Darwin Nunez will start on the bench, Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota will be sidelined for the contest.
