David Luiz has instructed Chelsea to remain calm despite the recent controversy regarding Diego Costa.
Costa reportedly had a row with Antonio Conte over an injury. The 28-year old had been dropped from the squad and also has been told to train separately. Antonio Conte was so furious that he even didn’t take the player to Leicester, against whom the Blues won comfortably.
Costa has also been linked to the Chinese Super League. Tianjin Quanjian are reportedly mulling an option to rope in the striker and are willing to splash a staggering £80 million for his service.
Luiz who was re-signed by Conte on the deadline day said, “There is no reason to panic.
“It is only January. In the Premier League, the only important thing is to be top of the table in May.
“I never saw anyone win the title in February or March.
“We don’t need to do anything new. We are top of the table. The most important thing is to keep the same mentality, the same maturity.
“We must stay calm. We can’t do everything; we have to play with humility. We play against different teams but they can all work you hard.”
