Aston Villa locked horns with Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium earlier today as they hoped to earn a good result on the road in the Premier League. The Villans made a decent start to the game but conceded the opening goal in the 22nd minute when Giovani Lo Celso found the back of the net. Pau Torres equalised for the West Midlands club in the latter stages of the first half as Unai Emery’s men went into the half-time break with a 1-1 scoreline.
Ollie Watkins gave Aston Villa the lead in the 61st minute with a good early finish. The Villans hung on to their narrow advantage and earned a 2-1 win away from home.
