Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has lauded Roberto Firmino’s mental strength after the Brazilian’s house was burgled by thieves.
A gang of thieves went into his house on 22nd December and looted jewellery, clothes and watches worth £70,000. Neither Firmino nor his wife was present at the time. The miscreants also ransacked the property and Firmino and his family had to spend the Christmas in a hotel.
The 25-year old has been going through tough phases recently. He was also charged with drunk driving and has to appear before the magistrate for a hearing.
Praising the Brazilian midfielder Klopp said, “What can I say? It’s been difficult, but he has dealt really well with it on the pitch.
“That is how Roberto is: when he is on the pitch he thinks about nothing else other than football. It is a big strength of him, I would say. But it has not been nice.”
