Hulk has claimed that Oscar joined Shanghai SIPG because of him. The Chinese club also signed Hulk for $57.9 million last season from Russian club Zenit.

The midfielder hadn’t been playing for Chelsea as Antonio Conte has preferred the midfield duo of Nemanja Matic and N’Golo Kanté this season.
Oscar scored on his debut for the Chinese club in a 2-1 win over Al Batin.

“I said to him that Shanghai is a beautiful city, the club is fantastic and we will get even better in the coming years.
“I also said our team-mates are very friendly and welcoming, which makes me feel pretty good. After hearing what I told him, he came.”
