Liverpool will welcome Everton at Anfield this Saturday afternoon as they look to earn a good result at home in the Premier League. The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw away at Brighton and Hove Albion recently, so they would be eager to get back to winning ways this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will set his men up in a 4-3-3 formation and could be inclined to name a strong team for this game. Both Diogo Jota and Kostas Tsimikas are expected to play from the start of this contest. However, Andrew Robertson is set to miss this Merseyside derby due to a serious shoulder injury.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Everton
Defence
Alison Becker will play in between the sticks for the Reds after conceding two goals in his last league outing. Joel Matip will get the nod to play alongside Virgil Van Dijk at the centre of Liverpool’s defence as they try to keep the opposition at bay during the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold will be a nailed-on starter at right-back while Kostas Tsimikas looks to impress on the other side as the left-back. Both of them would be given the freedom to express themselves in the Everton half.
Ibrahima Konate will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Ryan Gravenberch, Wataru Endo and Dominik Szoboszlai will make up Klopp’s midfield as they try to establish their superiority over the opposition at the centre of the park. All three of them will be instructed to move the ball well and set up some decent plays in the opposition half.
Harvey Elliott will be named on the bench and might come on to influence the game in the second 45 minutes if required.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to stretch the opposition defence out on the left flank while Mohamed Salah focuses on making a difference from the right.
Diogo Jota will lead the line for the Merseyside club down the middle. The Portuguese forward would be hungry to find the back of the net in the Merseyside derby this weekend.
