According to a report from Football.London, after his loan move to Manchester United fell apart, Marc Cucurella declined offers from Sevilla, RB Leipzig, and Real Sociedad. Initially targeted by Erik ten Hag for a signing, Cucurella’s appearance in the Carabao Cup second-round victory over AFC Wimbledon prompted Man United to shift their focus towards securing a loan deal with Sergio Reguilon.
Currently, Cucurella finds himself as the third-choice left-back at Stamford Bridge, with Ben Chilwell and Ian Maatsen ahead of him. This situation has left the 25-year-old in a state of uncertainty regarding his future.
Underwhelming First Season At Chelsea For Cucurella
In the summer of 2022, Marc Cucurella made a high-profile transfer to Chelsea from Brighton & Hove Albion for a record-breaking £56 million. The talented Spanish left-back was anticipated to play a pivotal role for the Blues, but his inaugural season has been a mixed experience.
