In a recent report, The Athletic claimed that Real Madrid have decided to send Reinier Jesus out on loan to Frosinone this summer. It is understood that Los Blancos have opted to send the Brazilian playmaker out on a season-long loan deal to the Serie A club.
Reinier’s Loan Spell At Girona Last Season
Reinier went out on loan to play for Girona last season but was a sporadic presence in their squad. The Brasilia-born talent made 18 appearances for the Spanish side in the previous campaign, finding the back of the net on a couple of occasions and earning one assist on all fronts.
The Brazilian sensation saw most of his game time come off the bench which could be why he only averaged 0.5 shots, 0.4 key passes and 0.5 dribbles per game in La Liga. At least, he was tidy with his ball distribution after making 80.7% of his attempted passes in the top tier of Spanish football (stats via whoscored).
Reinier is under contract at his parent club Real Madrid until the summer of 2026. Thus, it makes sense for the youngster to seal a temporary move elsewhere in search of more game time this season.
Real Madrid Decide To Send Reinier Out On Loan: Good Move For Both Parties?
Reinier is a technically gifted footballer who can shoot the ball with venom from long range. He has got the vision to unlock the opponent’s defence with a killer pass in the final third. The Brazilian whizkid is a good dribbler with the ball as well but is in dire need of more playing opportunities this season. He is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if needed.
Hence, a loan move to Frosinone makes sense for the player as he looks to earn more experience in top-flight football. Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti would hope that the Brazilian prospect can come back as a better version of himself next summer.
At 21, Reinier still has the potential to become a success story at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium in the long run. Therefore, it will be a good move for both the player and the Madrid club to temporarily part ways with each other this summer.
