Liverpool will travel to St.James’ Park on Sunday to take on Newcastle United as they hope to secure all three points on the road. The Reds come into this fixture on the back of a 3-1 victory over Bournemouth in their last outing, so we can expect them to be confident.
Jurgen Klopp is likely to deploy his team in a 4-3-3 configuration, and keep the changes to a minimum. As a result, Diogo Jota will lead the attack with the support of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz from the wide areas.
4-3-3 Liverpool Predicted XI Vs Newcastle United
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside giants after shipping in one goal versus Bournemouth in his last outing. Klopp will return to a four man backline so Ibrahima Konate will form the customary centre-half partnership with Virgil Van Dijk.
Andrew Robertson will operate as the left-back while Trent-Alexander Arnold functions on the opposite flank. Both of them will go forward to provide support from the wide areas and remain compact defensively.
Midfield
Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo will anchor the midfield for Liverpool as they try to dictate the tempo of the game for the Reds at the centre of the park.
Cody Gakpo and Harvey Elliott will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to catch the eye as the left-sided wide player while Mohamed Salah hopes to put in a match-winning display from the right.
Diogo Jota will once again lead the line for the Merseyside club up top. He will be looking to get his name on the scoresheet again.
Darwin Nunez will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
