Liverpool will entertain Bournemouth at Anfield this Saturday as they look to secure their first victory of this Premier League campaign. The Reds managed to grind out a 1-1 draw away at Chelsea recently, so we can expect them to be hungry for the three points this weekend.
Jurgen Klopp will set his men up in a 3-2-2-3 formation and could name an unchanged first XI for this game. Hence, Diogo Jota will once again get a chance to prove his worth as Liverpool’s primary centre-forward up top.
3-2-2-3 Liverpool Predicted Lineup To Face Bournemouth
Defence
Alisson Becker will feature in between the sticks for the Merseyside giants after shipping in one goal versus Chelsea in his last outing. Klopp will opt for a back three of Ibrahima Konate, Virgil Van Dijk and Andrew Robertson as they try to keep things solid at the back throughout the 90 minutes.
Joel Matip and Joe Gomez will provide cover for the defensive positions on the bench.
Midfield
Alexis Mac Allister and Trent Alexander-Arnold will anchor the midfield for Liverpool as they try to dictate the tempo of the game for the Reds at the centre of the park.
Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo will play just ahead of them as part of Klopp’s attack. They will both be responsible for carrying most of the creative burden for the Reds in the final third.
Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott will be named on the bench as they wait for their chance to impress in the second 45 minutes if needed.
Attack
Luis Diaz will try to catch the eye as the left-sided wide player while Mohamed Salah hopes to put in a match-winning display from the right.
Diogo Jota will once again lead the line for the Merseyside club up top. He failed to score versus Chelsea, so this home match could be an ideal opportunity for him to return to form in the Premier League.
Darwin Nunez and Ben Doak will be available for selection on the bench and might come on to make an impact in the final quarter of the game if Liverpool are in need of a goal by then.
