In a recent report, L’Equipe claimed that Real Madrid are ready to offer €200m for Paris Saint-Germain superstar Kylian Mbappe. It has been stated that Los Blancos are eyeing a move to secure the services of the France international this summer.
Mbappe’s Impressive Run Of Form In French Football
Mbappe enjoyed another excellent campaign at Parc des Princes as he was remarkably consistent with his contributions in the final third. The French outfit made 43 appearances for the French outfit this season, scoring 41 goals and earning ten goals in the process in all competitions.
The 24-year-old has been a reliable performer for PSG in the opponent’s half based on his average of 4.4 shots, 1.6 key passes and 3.6 clearances per 90 minutes in the Ligue 1. He has even been excellent with his ball distribution after making 82% of his attempted passes in the top tier of English football (stats via whoscored).
His current contract at the French club is set to expire in the summer of 2024. Hence, it makes sense for Los Blancos to launch a move for him during this transfer window with PSG more inclined to cash in on him rather than risk losing him for free next year.
Is Mbappe A Dream Signing For Real Madrid?
Mbappe is proficient at creating space for himself inside the opponent’s penalty box and excels at testing the opposition keeper with his strikes at goal. Mbappe is primarily a centre-forward but can also feature as a winger on either flank if needed.
The French sensation is an excellent dribbler with the ball at his feet. He is also quite clever when linking up play with others around him and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals in the final third.
Mbappe will undeniably add more goals and pace to Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti’s attack. He would serve as an ideal replacement for Karim Benzema at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium this summer.
At 24, Mbappe has his best years ahead of him and could help the Madrid giants win plenty of major trophies in the coming seasons. Thus, he would be a dream signing for Real Madrid to consider during the summer transfer window.
